Glacier Express & Swiss Alps Discovery

One of the world's great rail journeys, from one alpine icon to another. This trip bases you first in car-free Zermatt beneath the Matterhorn, then carries you the length of the Glacier Express — Switzerland's slowest express train — through Brig, Andermatt and over the Oberalp Pass, finishing in the historic town of Chur before a final stretch on to the lakeside resort of St. Moritz.

DAY 1

Fly from the UK to Zermatt

Fly from the UK and transfer to Zermatt (car-free — final approach by train or electric taxi), checking into your hotel at the foot of the Matterhorn.

DAY 2

Zermatt at Leisure

Spend the day exploring Zermatt at leisure, with the option to ride the Gornergrat Railway or Matterhorn Glacier Paradise cable car for panoramic Alpine views.

DAY 3

Glacier Express to Chur via Brig & Andermatt

Board the Glacier Express, travelling via Brig and Andermatt over the Oberalp Pass, checking into your hotel in Chur, Switzerland's oldest town.

Chur to St. Moritz
